Social Buzz is a free lifestyle and culture magazine based in the Liverpool region. Available in both digital and print formats, the magazine celebrates good news stories from around the North West region, spotlighting worthy causes, and raising the profile of independent businesses.

The project for Social Buzz was quite vast, beginning with initial branding concepts; logo, colour palette and typefaces, to a full series of quarterly magazines complete with diverse and engaging editorial design. All this as well as a fully optimised website that not only would allow users to read the publications digitally but also allow advertisers to contact about ad space for future editions.

“We couldn't be happier with the work carried out by Eccleston. Everything was completed to such a high standard.”

Design

The new Social Buzz branding was both bright and striking with each magazine publication essentially having its own 'mini brand' colour palette to indicate which quarter it was from.

We then brought this vibrant aesthetic through to the website design pulling together the colours from each magazine and tying everything together as a whole. This really captured the essence of the Social Buzz, giving off energy which reflected the 'Buzz' element of the brand.

Summary

Chris Hann, Owner of Social Buzz said: We knew the project was huge and initially we did a lot of searching to find the right agency. From our first meeting we knew Eccleston were right for the job and we felt reassured that they would deliver on time. This was really important as we had to manage advertisers expectations. Eccleston are now our 'go-to' agency which has in turn saved us time as we no longer feel necessary to tender for our work due to the trusting relationship we now have.
